My storyboards aren't in extreme detail because I wanted to use mainly candid shots (as in, walking around with my camera and recording any pretty scenery or natural shots with my actors talking or having fun) to create a
However, there were some parts which needed specific planning:
Before making the storyboard, I made a basic plan with words. This is the same approach I took with making the music video for the indie band, and I found this method more useful for planning a music video. Last year's coursework was a short film, and I found it very helpful to have every scene drawn out in quite some detail, but I've discovered that my style of creating music videos is more impromptu because I really like when the final result looks unposed. And generally if you plan these "natural" shots too much the audience can easily tell that it's not natural (the acting may look stiff or forced, actors will get tired after being directed for every little thing...).
