Y12 Coursework Reflection

Completing the year 12 media coursework has been one of my favourite experiences at school. I have learnt a lot about how to bring a vision to life, which requires skills such as time management, planning, creativity, and dealing with stress. I don’t think I was prepared for the workload at the beginning of last year, but now I know what to expect and I know I can organize myself better.

I didn’t enjoy the extremely detailed planning I had to do last year, mostly because it was so time consuming and I didn’t really follow it in the end, but I understand it’s necessary. Filming was fun because I was with my friends, however I did feel like I was annoying making them repeat scenes over and over. My favourite part was editing, as I had complete liberty over what to do.

As difficult and stressful as the coursework was, I had a lot of fun and am looking forward to making another piece this year. I’ve had many ideas over the summer, and am excited to see what I can create!
